The Sparrows and Kingfisher Inn will be featured in an upcoming book, Fly Fishing Texas, by Danny Hicks (Amato, 2006). We'll be carrying it.

Capt. Scott will be  featured in two upcoming segments  of Joe's Wildside Adventures on the Sportsmens Channel, which highlights the spectacular fly fishing on the Lower Laguna Madre.  We'll be carrying a DVD of the two shows once they have been aired.

Capt. Scott guided for, and was featured in a segment of Ambassador Outdoors with Bill and Joe, which aired on the Sportsmens Channel.

Kathy and Scott are members of the Pro Staff of Temple Fork Outfitters, as Kingfisher Inn is a distributor of TFO rods and reels through its online store and onsite sales.

Capt. Scott is the former President, and Capt. Kathy the former Secretary, of the Laguna Madre Fly Fishing Association,  a membership organization dedicated to promoting the sport of fly fishing on the Lower Laguna Madre.  Scott is on the Board of Directors.

Kathy held an IGFA women's 12-lb.-tippet world's record speckled trout until recently, and held the Texas fly rod record for ladyfish until our buddy Skipper Ray took it back in October of 2003.

Scott held the IGFA 4-lb. tippet world record ladyfish, holds the 8-lb. tippet and  12-lb. tippet world record ladyfish (tie); and Kathy holds the 16-lb tippet IGFA women's world record.

Scott's flies are featured in a new book, Guide Flies,  by David Klausmeyer, the editor of Fly Tyer.  Scott's VIP popper is on the cover of this visually stunning, and imminently useful book.

Kingfisher's owners are members of the IGFA, FFF, CCA, Audubon Society, the Valley Sportsmens Club, and the Laguna Madre Fly Fishers Association.

Capt. Scott won First Place in the Fly Division of the 62nd Annual Texas International Fishing Tournament (TIFT) in 2000.

Scott held the Texas State flyrod record redfish from
Sept. 1999 until September 2000 when his buddy, Skipper Ray, edged him out. Another Scott -- Capt. Scott Graham -- currently holds the record.

Scott is a Life Member of Trout Unlimited, and a FFF Certified Casting Instructor.

Kingfisher Inn hosted a Jeff Pill  (producer of Joan Wulff's highly acclaimed casting video) production on salt water fly fishing in November, 2000, and again in April of 2001. Scott guided and supplied flies for this three-day shoot.  The video, titled "Coastal Fly Fishing with Ken Hanley and Friends" is available via secure online ordering.

The Southern Living magazine staff visited Kingfisher in April, 2001, to research a feature article on
coastal fly fishing for redfish. The article, which featured Kingfisher Inn, appeared in the April, 2002 issue.
