Healing the Fisher King
A Fly Fisher's Quest
by Capt. Scott Sparrow
What reviewers are saying about this book...
"Scott Sparrow's book is a moving testament to the spirit of the human soul, and a powerful reminder that for many of us fishing and spirituality are inextricably joined together. I for one, wouldn't have it any other way."
Lani Waller, author of River of Dreams
"Fly Fishermen soon realize there is more the sport than catching fish. It becomes a way of living. Scott Sparrow writes well telling how it has influenced his life and peace of mind. This is a good read for any fly fisherman."
"I just finished reading Healing the Fisher King, and I wanted to thank you for an incredible experience. It seemed in many ways that the book was written for me. I have faced, and am facing the same "challenges" you described in the book. I plan to read it again as a text book, with a highlighter, while taking notes.
"Before reading your book I only knew something was wrong with my life, you helped discover (almost) exactly the problem. If I were to describe these issues, it would look like I was rewriting your story. Thank you for having the courage to be so open, and for sharing your experiences. I am grateful that you have the wisdom to discover these emotional / spiritual / relational complexities." -- M. W.

The Lefty Kreh
Professional Series provide a moderate action for casters who
prefer a slower stroke. The Lefty
Kreh TICR is the standard bearer
for the TFO line, receiving rave reviews from novice to advanced
casters, alike, who appreciate its crisp action and elegant look.
Kreh TICRx is a new series, available in five- through
nine-weight rods. These rods are simply
incredible casting rods in the hands of advanced casters, and perform
best when overlined by one weight. They sport
a blue, glossy finish with a spun graphite reel seat
in the five-weight and an anodized aluminum double-up-locking reel seat
in the 6-8-9 weights.

Mother's Day Flies (weedless) -- -- $3.50 apiece, minimum of three Add to Cart
Six MDFs for $18 Add to Cart
The MDF, like the VIP, has evolved over many years, and is based on countless hours of observing the behavior of redfish and trout in shallow, clear water. When presented well, the MDF is as close to rejection proof as any fly we've ever seen. Whether the fish are feeding primarily on crabs or shrimp, it doesn't seem to matter: The MDF meets with their approoval!
VIP Flies (weedless) -- $4.00 apiece, minimum of three
The VIP is, by far, the best topwater pattern for reds and trout and bass and brim that we've ever used. Our clients swear by them, and have used them successfully on a variety of freshwater and saltwater species. Developed by Capt. Scott, and featured in Fly Tyer, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Southwest Fly Fishing, and Fish and Fly. The VIP is also on the cover of Fly Tyer Editor David Klausmayer's new book Guide Flies!
Kingfisher Spoons -- $3.50 each
Also, for venues calling for a faster sinking spoon, try the new Kingfisher Crab!

Professsional Series Fly Lines
Kathy and I use these lines exclusively, and many of our regular clients are switching to them. The Flip Pallot line features a longer belly for moderate distance casts, and easy loading. The Lefty Kreh line is a distance line, which is my favorite. They have a nice stiffness, but do not coil up like some of the "tropic lines." A superior saltwater line at a great price.
