Coastal Fly Fishing Video
Just Released!
In November,
2000, and again in April, 2001, Scott and Kathy Sparrow played host to
a major video production headed up by Jeff Pill, award winning producer.
Pill, former 20-20 senior producer, has already racked up
an impressive array of stellar fly fishing productions with his
Miracle Productions -- including Joan Wulff's best-selling fly casting
video, the groundbreaking video "Women and Fly Fishing" with Jennifer Olsson,
and the universally acclaimed "Successful Fly Fishing Strategies" with
Gary LaFontaine and Dick Sharon. The new saltwater fly fishing video features
segments from the West Coast, East Coast, Florida Coast and Texas Gulf
Coast. West Coast fly fishing author Ken Hanley makes the entire
coast-to-coast journey, joining such fly fishing luminaries as Mel Krieger
and Flip Pallot on his search for wadeable, productive waters. Lani Waller
of steelhead fishing fame joins Ken in the Texas segment, where -- under
the masterful tutelage of Wanda Taylor (shown here with a red that took
her fly) -- they wade the shallow clear flats in search of redfish and
speckled trout.
Behind
the scenes, Capt. Scott teamed up with Capt. Skipper Ray, Rick Hartmann,
and Capt. Gary Taylor, to guide the shoot on the shallow flats of the lower
Laguna Madre. Meanwhile, Kathy put down her fly rod long enough to whip
up gourmet meals and on-the-water survival snacks for the "armada".
The new video, titled "Coastal Fly
Fishing with Ken Hanley and Friends," is one-hour and forty-five minute
long, covers a vast array of fishing techniques, species and settings.
Pill and his associate producer Bill Gordean have created an artistic,
entertaining, and instructive video that will doubtless become a major
source of information for fly fishers interested in the unpressured, diverse
fishing opportunities available in inshore fisheries. The video is available
from Kingfisher for $34.95 plus $3.00 s&h.
