From Corpus/Houston/San
Antonio on U.S. 77: Take the second Combes
exit ("Rio Hondo and Santa Rosa") about five miles north of Harlingen.
Go left onto
FM 508, and be careful to remain on 508 until you come to a stop sign
on
FM 106. Take a left onto 106, and you will cross the bridge into
Rio
Hondo in 1/2 mile. Continue on FM 106 through the town of Rio Hondo,
and
turn left onto FM 2925 at the flashing yellow light about two miles outside of Rio Hondo. Go until you reach the Arroyo City
water tower, and then watch your odometer, and you will see the
Kingfisher sign on the left one mile further.
From Harlingen: Get on Tyler Ave. east (a one-way street), and continue until it becomes FM 106. Continue on FM 106 through the town of Rio Hondo, and turn left onto FM 2925 at the flashing yellow light about two miles east of Rio Hondo. Go until you reach the Arroyo City water tower, and then watch your odometer, and you will see the Kingfisher sign on the left one mile further. From Harlingen International Airport: At the Airport exit, take Loop 499 south (left), and turn left onto FM 106 after one mile. Continue on FM 106 through the town of Rio Hondo, and turn left onto FM 2925 at the flashing yellow light about two miles east of Rio Hondo. Go until you reach the Arroyo City water tower, and then watch your odometer, and you will see the Kingfisher sign on the left one mile further. From McAllen and cities west of Harlingen on U.S. 83: Take U.S. 83 east, and exit into Harlingen on the Tyler Ave. exit. Continue on Tyler until it becomes FM 106. Continue on FM 106 through the town of Rio Hondo, and turn left onto FM 2925 at the flashing yellow light about two miles east of Rio Hondo. Go until you reach the Arroyo City water tower, and then watch your odometer, and you will see the Kingfisher sign on the left one mile further. From South Padre Island: Take FM 100 into Port Isabel, and continue until you
see the exit for Laguna Vista, and FM 510. Go through Laguna
Vista, and Bayview, and continue until you reach the second four-way
stop. Take a right onto FM 1847, and continue until you reach the end,
at the intersection of FM 2925. Take a right, and go one mile past the
water tower, and you will see the Kingfisher sign on your left. Here's an

Kingfisher is in Arroyo City, south of Port Mansfield, and north of Port Isabel.
You should know this:If you try to book a Southwest flight to Harlingen (the closest airport to Kingfisher Inn), you may be told, "We don't have service from (your city) to Harlingen." If you accept this statement at face value, you might never find out that Southwest flies into Harlingen. But you see, you have to book a flight into Houston, and then book a flight from Houston to Harlingen, but you can't book a flight directly to Harlingen. Strange, right? We've tried to get Southwest to change the way they respond to this question, but they're still doing it. |
